Our Christmas Tree Sale was a huge success as we sold out! Thank you to everyone who supported our sale by buying a tree, volunteering on the lot, or spreading the word.
Funds raised at the tree sale will be used for local and international community outreach and initiatives.
The Food Drive went great! Thank you to all who donated food!
Special thanks to Agway True Value of Ballston Spa for lending us their box truck, Union Fire Company for lending us their parking lot, Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic for rallying their folks and collecting a bunch of items for us, Kevin Richards at 100.9 The Cat for having us on to talk about the Food Drive, our Rotarians for staffing the Food Drive all weekend, and everyone who helped us spread the word (we know there were a lot of you!). A true community effort!
Ballston Spa Rotary Club recently built a gazebo at The Guardian House, a home for female veterans.
Thank you to Curtis Lumber, VFW, and Champagne & Son Building & Remodeling for your contributions of materials, funding, and skilled labor.
Thank you to our Rotarians and area residents who came out and volunteered for the build.
At a recent meeting of our club, our President Jere Blackwelder made a presentation of $500 to Nancy Faddegon to sponsor a Shelter Box in our club’s name. Shelter Box is an organization that provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis. Our donation will help provide a home and life-sustaining supplies to a family in need somewhere in the world that is struck by disaster. We proudly support this organization and the work that it does. You can learn more about this wonderful organization at www.shelterbox.org.
