Other Community Groups

Many non-profit organizations help to make the Ballston Spa area vibrant and active.  Become a volunteer at any of the following local  organizations, you will be glad you did:

  • Ballston Area Community Allies – a program of the Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Services of Saratoga County, is a local effort to end abusive behaviors in the Ballston area in hopes to mobilize residents and organizations to develop successful awareness and prevention programs. –
  • Ballston Area Community Center – to provide essential community services, programs, support and projects that enhance the social, emotional and recreational development of youth and families of the Ballston Area. –
  • Ballston Area Seniors-providing local senior programs –
  • Ballston Spa Business and Professional Association – a group of businesses and individuals working together to make Ballston Spa a great place to work, live and visit. The association works in conjunction with Village government and other groups to enhance our community. –
  • Ballston Spa Education Foundation – a volunteer organization that supports the mission of the Ballston Spa Central School District by raising and distributing resources for educational enrichment outside the realm of the daily operational needs of the school district.Ballston Spa House and Garden Club –
  • Ballston Spa House & Garden Club – sponsors many projects that have helped to enhance and beautify the Village. –
  • Ballston Spa Lions Club – assists individuals and families in need living in the area as well as non-profit organizations that also help families residing in our community. The primary mission of the Lions Club is vision and hearing disabilities. –
  • Brookside Museum – cares for documents, photographs, and objects related to the history of Saratoga County. Our mission is to inspire community memory by telling Saratoga’s story through interactive and engaging exhibits and programs. –
  • Eagle-Matt Lee Fire Company – Volunteer fire company proudly serving the area since 1816. –
  • Fresh Air Fund – a program where families from upstate NY areas such as ours take in children from cities such as NYC for 1-2 weeks in the summer. 1-800-367-0003
  • Friends and Neighbors of Ballston Spa (FANS) – a grassroots non-profit organization that has developed a centrally located playground in Ballston Spa that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities, encourages outdoor recreation, enhances community pride, celebrates our history and creates a legacy for future generations. –
  • Friends of the Kayaderosseras – a volunteer, not-for-profit organization established in March 2004 to conserve and protect the Kayaderosseras Creek and its watershed in Saratoga County, New York for purposes of conservation, education, and recreation. –
  • Friends of the Library – a dedicated group of library users who support the Ballston Spa Public Library by promoting and enhancing library services. –
  • Gateway House of Peace – provides people who are at the end of their life and their families with vitally needed support and care in a safe and loving. –
  • Henry Cornell American Legion Post 234 – assisting veterans in the local community. –
  • Malta Business and Professional Association – the voice for business leaders in the Malta area promoting and advancing the commercial, industrial, civic climate and general interests of the business and professional enterprises in Malta. –

  • National Bottle Museum – Promotes study, appreciation and preservation of the American bottle industry. –
  • Saratoga County 4-H – diverse as the members of our communities!  It is a fun, hands-on, youth development program. –
  • Saratoga Co Rural Preservation Co/VetHELP – to serve the needs of homeless military veterans by empowering them to embrace and maintain independent living and self-sufficiency.-
