unwrapping christmas treesThe Ballston Spa Rotary Club will start conducting its biggest fundraiser of the year, its annual Christmas tree sale, on Friday, Nov. 28, at the Curtis Lumber main location at 885 Route 67 in Ballston.

This year, the club will be offering 350 balsam trees in a variety of sizes starting at 6-foot. Prices are set at $70, $80, and $90, with some large trees marked higher.

Hours of operation will be seven days a week, noon to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Black Friday, and Saturdays and Sundays.

Purchases help support such community projects as Ballston Spa Family Fun Day, Breakfast with Santa Claus, the village Thanksgiving Dinner, food and school supply backpacks for local students, the Baptist Summer Lunch Program, and scholarships. Funds also support international projects like Shelter Box, Gift of Life, and the drive to eliminate polio in all countries.
